Ditch Mapping Project

George Walton, Vice President of the MPDC, is working to map the Missouri Park ditch. It is 6.22 miles in length and has 15 shareholder boxes. It is an ongoing project.

The Missouri Park Ditch Company was founded in 1882 when Henry Newby and six others filed for the MPDC to be a Corporation. That filing stands to this day. Currently, elected Officers and Board of Directors of the MPDC manage and operate the Missouri Park Ditch from the Headgate on the South Arkansas River, along its right-of-way to the west edge of current day Highway 285.  The MPDC Officers and Board of Directors have the legal authorization and the moral obligation to manage and operate the entire Missouri Park Ditch, from the Headgate to Highway 285.
